John Young at Espace du Son, Brussels


John Young will give two concerts at the Espace du Son Festival in Brussels in November, on the 54-channel acousmonium in the Théâtre Marni. One performance is devoted entirely to his own work and in second show he will present a recent work by Pete Batchelor alongside pieces he has selected by Brazilian and US composers. Other composers performing in the Festival are Åke Parmerud (Sweden), Flo Menezes (Brazil) and Yves Daoust (Québec).

Opportunity to work with children for Black History Season

We have just received an invite for interested MTI/MTP student(s) to contribute a special event for Black History Season, aimed at community children ages 1-12/13. This will be Tuesday, 22 October 2013, 10 am - noon. A Family Support Worker below is looking for someone who can perform some music so vulnerable children can "see live music and possibly giving them  the opportunity to take part in the singing, aimed at "inspiring dreams and hopes". Email Bret Battey (bbattey@dmu.ac.uk) if you are interested, and he can fill you in.

Dirty Electronics @ DMU




Dirty Electronics will resume regular activities at De Montfort University, Leicester every Thursday evening 6:00 – 8:00, PACE Building, Studio 1. The first session will be Thursday, 10 October.
