Update to Access Cards

Security has updated parts of the programming of the access cards. As a result some cards have stopped working. Please update your access card at an online reader first, then test again. If the door does not open after the update, please get in touch with one of the technicians.

Over the next 6 weeks there will be a series of special lectures given by various guests from the music/media industry. The timetable is below, entry is free to anyone who is interested.

Magnus Bugge and Jøran Rudi present works from NOTAM (Oslo)

NOTAM is Norway’s national electronic music studio. The centre operates on several levels within the Norwegian music and arts scene, and in the international music technology environment. We provide support to musicians and artists, and develop our own music technology. Notam's users are students, musicians, artists, composers, dancers, sound technicians, film workers, and others who find the combination of music, art and technology interesting.

Holiday updates to Macintosh lab computers

Technicians are implementing important updates to the Mac computers in all labs and studios after the examination time this December, starting from 15.12.2014. With these updates all personal user profiles on the system drives will be erased! Files on data drives will NOT be touched.

We recommend to backup all work you have stored locally. If you are unsure, please contact one of the technicians directly or send an email with your question to audiotech@dmu.ac.uk.
